José Xavier, José Seco (colleagues at U. Coimbra) and João Agrela, at the Chilean Antarctic Station Prof. Julio Escudero, testing state-of-the-art satellite beacons.
João Agrela is now ending his 1 year contract at ANTECC where he has been involved with project PERMANTAR-2 and also collaborating with HOLOANTAR activities. He has collaborated in the logistics of the 2011-12 Antarctic campaign, mainly has a responsible for organizing and shipping equipment and he has also participated in the field work in Livingston and King George Islands from December 2011 to February 2012. João has been an excellent partner in all activities at ANTECC and he will be missed in our group.
